With concerns rising about the spread of the Delta variant in the US, the Biden administration has been alarmed about a so-called "pandemic of the unvaccinated", referring to how COVID outbreaks emerge in regions with low vaccination rates.

US President Joe Biden is delivering remarks on the US vaccination campaign, speaking from the White House on Thursday.

The president is expected to break down the country's vaccination strategy amid concerns about the Delta variant of COVID-19.

As of 28 July, according to Bloomberg's coronavirus vaccine tracker, the US has administered some 343 million doses.
